Channeling My Inner Ansel
This image has special personal meaning for me. I was saving the bits and pieces for the right time, and that time came on the morning of the awards reception of my first juried photography competition being held at our local museum of art. The winners would get the opportunity to have their pieces displayed during the duration of the Ansel Adams exhibit that was going to be in place for the entire summer - how exciting! I was a bit nervous and decided to distract myself by creating something. So I shot the "me" piece of it and then spent a good portion of the day getting lost in the creation aspect, a nice little diversion to keep me from being so nervous. The reception went smashingly well and the judge, Tony Corbell, chose my entered image "Lonesome Tree" as the first place image. A very nice ending to a wonderful day!
